Software installation of a R4 card
You will need:

Computer with an available USB Port |
Micro SD Memory Card | USB Adapter For Micro SD card | R4 Software, for your specific r4 card |

Insert the micro SD memory card into the USB adapter. The Micro-SD memory card can only be put in a position in the USB adapter.

Connect the USB adapter into your computer. Your computer automatically detects the USB adapter, and will flash red.
|

|
If this menu appears, click “continue without scanning”. If a menu appears, select "Open Folder to view files". Click the right mouse button on the USB drive and choose "Format".

In the format window select FAT32 under file system. Click "Start" to format the micro SD memory card. You should then receive a message that the operation was performed successfully.

The downloaded file is compressed. Unpack it with a compression program such as WinZip or WinRAR. To do this, click the right mouse button on the downloaded file and choose "Extract to". Follow the instructions of your compression program. All files are unpacked into a new folder. After unzipping the folder, for example, the contents should look like this. |

The USB adapter with the inserted micro SD memory card must continue to remain connected to the computer.

Highlight all the file and folders you find in the previously created folder and select “copy” as shown. There should be 4 files and folders as the diagram shows

Go to your removable disk, and right click in the empty space will you receive a menu as pictured. Choose option “paste” to add your file to your memory card. The files need to be at the root directory

Make your own media folder at the root of the memory card. Right click mouse in space. Click “New” followed by “Folder” as shown.

The files and folder you should have are as per diagram. Store all your files (eg homebrew, Scores / backups, your own music, films, photographs, etc.) on the Micro SD in the Media folder. IMPORTANT: Do not alter other files as this will still card functioning correctly. |
